Participation Waiver & Release of Liability
Acknowledgment of Risks
By signing below, I understand that participating in activities at or organized by City Tennis Club involves certain inherent risks. These may include, but are not limited to:

Physical injuries such as sprains, muscle strain, broken bones, or more serious outcomes including concussions or death.

Slips, falls, and collisions with equipment, surfaces, or other individuals.

Adverse weather (e.g., extreme heat or cold) and challenging conditions (e.g., uneven surfaces) that may increase risk.

Health-related risks, such as dehydration, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, or limited access to immediate medical help.

Emotional or psychological stress related to physical exertion, injury, or incidents.

Infectious illness exposure, including but not limited to COVID-19.

Other unexpected or unforeseen hazards.
Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Responsibility
I choose to participate willingly, fully aware of these risks, and take full responsibility for any injury, harm, or damage that may occur during or resulting from my involvement. I understand I may stop participation at any time.
Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby waive and release City Tennis Club, its employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates (the “Released Parties”) from any liability or claims—whether caused by negligence or otherwise—arising from my participation, including for personal injury, property damage, or death.
Indemnity
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from my actions or involvement in the activity.
Medical Authorization
In the case of an emergency, I authorize City Tennis Club to arrange medical care as needed, and accept all costs related to treatment or transportation. I confirm I am in suitable health to participate and have disclosed any relevant conditions.
Use of Images and Media
I grant permission for any photos, videos, or recordings taken during my participation to be used by City Tennis Club for promotional or informational purposes, without compensation.
Confidentiality
I agree not to share any confidential or proprietary information that may be disclosed during the course of my participation.
Legal Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in BC courts.
Severability
If any portion of this waiver is found unenforceable, the rest shall remain valid and in effect.
Acknowledgment & Signature
I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver in full. I sign it voluntarily and acknowledge that I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue the Released Parties.
